New Beginnings!

Hello!

I want to welcome everyone to my first official blog!  I never thought of myself as a writer, yet, I feel as though I have so much to say to my clients!  This will be a place where you can get to know me and learn things that not all aestheticians want to share.  I will try to answer common questions I receive from clients such as:

• What is the proper application of skincare?
• Why do I prefer sugaring for hair removal? 
• What does ::insert product name here:: do for your skin?

These are just a few examples of what I get asked on a regular basis.  I hope that this will be a place where we can learn and interact with each other.  

Although today's post is not about skincare itself, it is about how Dermasweet came to be. Today is about new beginnings. 

 While I was in school for aesthetics, I always thought about opening up my own spa- something small and quaint but unique.  When the opportunity presented itself many months ago, the only thing holding me back was fear.  Once I released that, I realized this is something I could achieve.  I wanted to provide an intimate setting for clients to feel comfortable and confident that they are getting the best service.  I also wanted to emphasize my specialty: sugaring.  Many people are still unfamiliar with this type of hair removal and I want Wilmington, North Carolina to know all about its benefits!  This is a service that needs to be shared with the world!  (more on that topic coming soon!).

 Sola Salon Studios in Mayfaire Town Center gave me the opportunity to do just that!  Dermasweet has been a small thought in the back of my mind that has now turned into this very realistic journey that I am taking on.  I will be providing services such as facials, chemical peels, enzyme peels, microdermabrasion, hair removal (sugar and wax), as well as lash tinting.  I will also have retail for those who love Image Skincare and Alexandria Professional as much as I do.   

My official opening date will be Wednesday, July 5th.  I will have a "Grand Opening" drop-in from 1pm-3pm on Sunday, July 9th, in my room at Sola Salon Studios Mayfaire Town Center (located on the same strip as H&M).  There will be giveaways along with tea and biscuits, as well as a raffle for four complimentary services!  For those who want to see what all Dermasweet has to offer, stop by my studio- studio 17.
